Oh so busy...

I've been super-busy at work this week. Ugh. They really need to hire somebody soon to replace our designer...'cuz I'm getting so much stuff to do that I don't even really have time to eat lunch. So annoying.

Well at least today I'm supposed to go to lunch with my mentor...but that also means that I'd have an hour less to do the things that I need to do. Blah.

Since I've been so busy at work, I'm just pooped when I get home. So all I've done all week is watch TV. I'm sure Greg thinks that I'm the most boring person by now. Poor guy.

Katrina suggested that we go do a cake tasting at the Black Forest Bakery off of NW Hwy. Greg knows of the place, and said that they have a really good German restaurant. So maybe we could go try it this weekend or something.

Oh, got the W2 forms from PRE yesterday. Not to my surprise, none of the number match what I had been paid. I really wish that they would quit screwing around with important stuff like that. I'm just glad that I don't have to deal with them anymore after this tax period. Ugh. Anyway, I vented my frustrations to Joe & David, and then Chris gave me Dennis' contact info (the guy who actually handled the payroll) so I could forward the email to him. He said he'd have an answer for me by morning. We'll see about that.

Okay well, that was a pretty boring post...but it's been a pretty uneventful week. Ah well. Just waiting for the work week to be over, so I can actually rest and go have fun.

Oh boy. You know PRE never gets W2 forms correct. Last year I had to wait on them to correct stuff. And I am 99% sure it will happen again this year. I am so glad that I don't depend on them anymore for my main paycheck. I really wish that they would realize that just paying their employees on time and getting information on important documents would take care of most of their employee frustrations. It is really that simple.

Why are designers the last to get replaced? Even at your job? Why does no one think we are important??? Well I wouldn't say no one.. just some.. well many. Oh well. I like what I do at least. :)

Yeah, I don't think they quite understand why we get frustrated over things like that. How hard can it be to just keep a spreadsheet or whatever with all the info in it? Ugh.

Oh actually, the one we had got fired. We've been doing interviews for like 3 weeks now...just haven't found one that would enjoy doing what this position would require. It's not a pure designer job...it involves a lot of content updates and stuff, and potentially irregular work schedule (like mine).

Ackkk! How annoying! I hope they get that straightened out for you soon!

:-(
W2's bug me... why can't it be easy. I want to focus on working and not on making sure the rest of the company does their job.

You might mention the job to Adam for Peter.

Yah isn't that irritating? Ugh.

I just don't think that employees need to worry about whether their taxes have been submitted properly to the government. That's the company's responsibility. I don't think they'll ever understand that.

Oh okay. I'll do that. :o)

Oh wait...right after I sent that last comment...I realized that I had forgotten to mention the job is in Chicago, not Dallas...but we might be hiring a marketing type person later on. So we'll see.

Now I am curious about my W2...or 1099 whatever..

Hey thanks for looking out for Peter guys. :)

Yeah...well Dennis told me he'd have an answer by today. We'll see. I really just don't trust him too much...

No prob! Tell him to send his resume over anyway...if he's a good fit for the job, I'll see if I could talk my manager into having the position here instead of Chicago. It'd be a long shot though...

I told him and gave him your info. ;) Thanks for even looking at it. :)

Okay cool. :o) No prob! I certainly know what it's like to be on the other side of the coin...
